Real-time adaptation with API-driven meal swaps and recalculation

Platform capabilities

One infrastructure. Multiple capabilities.

Everything you need to build sophisticated, personalised nutrition experiences into your own applications.

Sliders for calories, protein and fibre balanced within their nutrient targets.

Personalised Meal Planning

Generate personalised meal plans that satisfy complex nutritional requirements across 27 nutritional dimensions, including calories, macronutrients, micronutrients and more.

Combine nutrient targets with allergens, dietary restrictions, food preferences and individual goals. Meal IQ's optimisation engine finds nutritionally valid solutions in near real time, with support for meal replacement, ingredient adaptation and recalculation.

A plate separated into protein, grain, vegetable, sauce and garnish, each linked to a colour-coded role.

Adaptive Smart Recipes

Recipes that adapt to the individual, not the other way around.

Dynamically adjust ingredients, quantities and substitutions to satisfy nutritional requirements while preserving culinary integrity. Generate cuisine-aware variations and localise recipes for different regions, tastes and languages.

Health-Aware Nutrition

Turn health insights into personalised nutritional action.

Connect provider-defined health parameters, diagnostic categories and clinical programme rules to structured nutrition constraints, enabling personalised meal plans aligned with your own health and wellness programmes.

Intelligent Tracking & AI Feedback

Close the loop between planning and actual consumption.

Enable users to log meals through photographs, compare their intake against nutrition targets and receive AI-assisted feedback to help them make informed dietary adjustments.

Developer-First APIs

Power your existing products with sophisticated nutrition capabilities, without rebuilding your technology stack.

Integrate meal planning, recipe personalisation, nutrition intelligence and related functionality directly into your own applications, workflows and user experiences through structured APIs.

Our differentiator

Real-time personalisation. Mathematical precision.

Personalised meal planning is an NP-hard optimisation problem. We've engineered a way to solve it in near real time.

Finding meals that simultaneously satisfy daily nutritional targets, dietary restrictions, allergens, individual preferences and culinary requirements is an extraordinarily hard computational challenge. In fact, it's known as an NP-hard optimisation problem.

Even the most advanced frontier language models cannot be relied upon to consistently solve these combinatorial optimisation problems through generative reasoning alone.

Meal IQ takes a fundamentally different approach.

Our proprietary nutrition engine combines structured food intelligence, deterministic and mathematical optimisation to produce personalised meal plans that satisfy complex nutritional constraints in near real time.

AI creates the experience. Mathematics guarantees the nutritional logic.

Illustration using a real example plan, in three screens. Screen 1, set the constraints for the optimiser: nine constraint chips, namely Calories 1,900–2,000 kcal; Protein 100–160 g; Carbs 120–160 g; Fat 80–100 g; Sat. fat ≤ 25 g; Fibre 30–45 g; Pork-free; Mollusc-free; Lupin-free. Only the calorie range is a real programme target; the other ranges are examples chosen to suit this plan. The pork, mollusc and lupin exclusions were checked against the ingredients of the nine recipes shown, not against snacks. Screen 2, choose and optimise the recipes to fit: the chips leave, and from a scrolling strip of twelve recipes nine are picked and placed into a three-day plan with breakfast, lunch and dinner each day. Screen 3, all 9 rules respected for all days in the plan in near real time: for each day a calorie gauge and protein, fat and carbs donuts show the day's total against its range. Fibre and saturated fat are also within their ranges but are not drawn. All figures are illustrative, and day totals include snacks, which are not shown.

Adaptive Smart Recipes

Beyond static recipe libraries.

Traditional recipe platforms rely on fixed catalogues of recipes with predetermined ingredients, quantities and nutritional profiles.

Meal IQ takes a different approach.

Our Smart Recipe system uses structured food intelligence to dynamically adapt recipes according to each individual's nutritional requirements, dietary restrictions and preferences.

Recipes that adapt to your targets

Automatically adjust ingredient quantities and portions to bring recipes into alignment with individual nutritional requirements.

Intelligent ingredient substitutions

Replace ingredients while respecting allergens, dietary preferences, nutritional requirements and culinary compatibility.

Cuisine-aware personalisation

Go beyond translating recipe instructions. Support regional cuisines through culturally appropriate ingredients, preparation methods, flavours and culinary patterns.

Multilingual recipe experiences

Deliver localised recipe titles, ingredients and cooking instructions, with the architecture designed to support a wide range of languages and regional variants.

Continuously adaptable content

Create personalised variations without depending entirely on a fixed number of pre-written recipes.

Overhead view of a grain bowl with sliced grilled chicken, quinoa, arugula, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, red onion and avocado, sprinkled with seeds, on a light table.Smart recipe flexible by design: it adapts dynamically, supports substitutions, satisfies nutritional constraints and maintains culinary plausibility. Ingredient roles, bounded portions, substitution pathways such as chicken to tofu and rice to quinoa, and cuisine tags such as Mediterranean and high-protein.
